Highlights from ISPO Munich And OR Snow Show 2019

Although we’re only a month into the new year, two of the major outdoor industry trade shows have already come and gone. Last week in Germany there was the giant ISPO Munich and before that Outdoor Retailer held it’s snow show for the second year in Denver, Colorado. Over the two shows a mountain of new gear was released and new brands emerged. Here are a few of our highlights…

Grüezi bag from Biopod DownWool Nature

It’s hard to go past the best gear winner from ISPO. The Gruezi bag is a sleeping bag made from 100% natural materials. Particularly love the use of wooden buttons to replace the zip.

Ortlieb Atrack

Duffle backpack hybrids have been popping up more and more in recent years. Ortlieb have added another dimension by making theirs completely waterproof.

Restube

The idea behind Restube is so simple it’s a wonder it took this long for someone to think it up. It’s a compact buoyancy device that was created by a group of Australian engineers. It’s always nice to see locals doing well.

Adidas TERREX

The new Terrex release from Adidas combines the Ultraboost mid-sole with a hiking upper. This is what it looks like when trends collide in a good way.

The North Face Futurelight

Whilst most of the new fabrics on show focussed on sustainability, North Face launched an ultra breathable new fabric named Futurelight. Of course we’re into the sustainable fabrics as well, but the North Face booth looked pretty amazing.
